Entering the classroom/ independent reading:
- You bring a book to class EVERY DAY.
- You quietly come into class, sit in your seat, and settle in by reading the blog.
-You keep your hands to yourself.
- You are focused on reading, and not on your classmates.
- You quietly begin reading until the timer goes off.
Mini-lessons:
- You are sitting in your chair.
- You are listening to Ms. Weissman and looking at Ms. Weissman or the board.
- If Ms. Weissman or a classmate is speaking you are not speaking.
- You are focused, paying attention, not talking.
- You keep your hands to yourself.
- If you have a question, please raise your hand.
- If you have a comment,please raise your hand.
- Your comments and questions are on topic.
- You take notes if needed.
- You are focused on learning something new, not on your classmates.
Work-time:
- You work independently unless otherwise directed by Ms. Weissman.
- You are working in your seat.
- If you are talking to a neighbor, you need to have a six inch voice.
- You keep your hands to yourself.
- You focus on your work,and not your classmates.
